Detailed Overview

With extensive expertise in tissue culture, Mr. Balakrishna Muthukuri founded Mother BioTech to produce premier tissue-cultured teak plants. Over his 30 years of research, he has advanced tissue teak and clonal propagation, developing specialized plant hormones that enhance overall growth. His work in propagating and standardizing tissue culture protocols for medicinal plants has led to the creation of hormones for rooting, flower induction, shoot growth promotion, bud induction, and stem rot inhibition, achieving 85-90% success across 250 plant species.

To his credits, Mr. Balakrishna Muthukuri has produced Nine elite teak clones, known for their exceptional quality and performance. He served as a scientific consultant for the Andhra Pradesh Forest Department, advising on the plantation of 1 million tissue-cultured plants and the commercial production of 250 plant species.
Additionally, he was the lead scientist for the Netherlands Biotechnology Program, representing the Government of Andhra Pradesh in a significant biotechnology initiative. He has authored influential works, including “Micropropagation Techniques for Multi-Propagation of Trees from Lab to Farmer Field” (2005) and “Need for Modernizing Nursery Techniques to Achieve International Competitiveness,” organized by the Indian Nurserymen Association.

Mr. Muthukuri has published approximately 850 articles available on Google, contributing valuable knowledge to the field. He has also served as a mentor to biotechnology graduates, postgraduates, and PhD students across various universities and institutions, providing expertise and support in research and academic development
